One thing I learned about writing is that . . . You have to do it every week! And once in a while, you do a good job.
This line by Barbara Gonzalez struck me deeply. I realized I haven’t written anything in weeks!
Aside from titles and labels of pictures I post on Instagram and Facebook, I haven’t made any real and legit entry to any of my 2 blogs.

And yes, you HAVE to write weekly, at the very least. Must be the reason I keep composing lines in my head these days. Just random, numerous thoughts I’d like to put on paper, always saving them for “the thing I’m gonna write about” list.
But never actually starting.
I learned from my very strict, very OC, very adik writing teacher/boss that you have to write the article today then edit it the day after.
I highly suspect this is the major reason of my ongoing failure to start!
I found myself constantly urging ME to write TODAY so I can post it tomorrow.
Then my rationale would reckon, if I wanna write something, won’t it be nice if I can post it right away? Writing rules be damned!
I’ve read countless of articles these past couple weeks and it becomes all the more expected that I should be bursting with ideas and fresh point of views coming from different angles with the huge collection of knowledge I have gathered.
Thanks to my magazine obsession.
Thanks to Esquire Philippines for that Barbara Gonzalez interview with which became the reason I am writing now… and hopefully be one step better at this.
So it’s been 20 minutes and I’ve typed… ummm 271 words according to my MSWord word count and I have to say I’m proud of myself! Hahahaha!
Not because I am writing!
But because I can.
Because of this ability to simply be loquacious in both ways.
Because I love doing this.
Because of the passion to become better.Because of my willingness to share this very private part of my soul.
Because I have a soul.
Oh, and because I follow rules too!
Which means I will edit this tomorrow and post it ASAP for you guys to enjoy!
